it starts, idles for a min. then just dies. got fuel pressure about 40 psi w key on engine off and above 30psi running. it boggs out when tryn to give it any gas. any suggestions?

utomLack of power at cruising speed in aatic trans.
Hello I have a 2003 3.0 V6 automatic Ranger Edge and I wanted to know why when I am driving at a cruising speed (85mph) if I step on the gas to the floor lets say for an overtaking the engine does rev up (3500 -5000 RPM) and it sounds as expected when you accelerate however It does not seem the truck is going any faster nor pulling harder, it basically lacks of power. The tranny works smoothly under normal conditions; to this day I have never experienced shifting problems with this truck nor abnormal behavior. Still, I do believe this situation could be related to the transmission as not long ago when the trans fluid was replaced I was advised by the mechanic that there was debris coming out with the old fluid and mentioned I should start thinking about replacing the transmission before it gives me trouble but the transmission still works just fine.

1994 to 1998 Trans interchange 3.0 v6 4x4 question
I have a 1994 ranger 3.0 5 speed 4x4 ext cab the trans makes a raking noise randomly in neutral not often but enough to know its not right but I'm pulling it out because the clutch went out and I found a trans in a 1998 mazada 3.0 4x4 5 speed ext cab and I can get it pretty cheap my question is will the newer mazada trans work any help is appreciated thanks

Just got a OBDII scanner, what are normal settings for ex. fuel trim, intake pressure
Just got this little bluetooth scanner and app for android, tons of info but I'd like to know more about what it means in a diagnostic sense. For instance, are there "normal" values for fuel trim, intake pressure, MAF rates, etc.? If there is already a thread or even sticky for this then I'm sorry for wasting your time, just did a quick search of those terms on this site and didn't see anything that applied to me. If there is NOT a sticky for this subject, maybe we can make one. I'd have loved it as a new to ranger person to have as a guide "this spec should be within this amount of degrees" etc. Don't need all the answers handed to me, just would like a guide from those with more knowledge of this. need help troubleshooting
i have a few little issues i need help troubleshooting,
1. my rangers been dealing with a lot of very cold weather,(i live in new england)
anyway the idle was rough and sometimes stalled, by rough i mean it looked like someone was shaking the truck, so i read up on it and cleaned my IAC, its better but not 100% better, idles are smooth, but still have a low idle. the truck starts at regular speed and creeps down to about 500RPM, then there are sometimes, mostly when going down hill and breaking or without pressing the gas, where the engine searches from ~200-600RPM. as the RPMs raise and lower so does the brightness on my dash and headlights. im planning on changing my fuel filter and regular maintance when my bare hand wont stick to metal.
2. when i drive the "open door" or "keys in ignition" beeps for about 30 seconds then stops, then every 30-40 minutes of driving it repeats, 30 seconds of beeps. wasnt sure if this was tied to the door sensor, or a fuse.
3. my brakes get really sensitive sometimes, usually after it sits for a while. i usually can depress the brakes a little, but then it seams to slam them on, nearly throws me through windshield.
4. lastly is while driving my transmission seams to pause while shifting sometimes, its like if you had a manual trany and kept you foot on the gas while depressing the clutch, i havent noticed any slippage though.

Heat blower stopped, then started, now stopped heat works
Blower for heat and AC stopped when it started getting cold in NEngland. Then one day started working again for a few weeks, now stopped again. Heat is coming out but no blower. COLD! What could it be and what would it cost to fix? Thanks. Not a mechanic but can fiddle around under the dash.

sinking a differential in mud?
i hit quit a big mud hole today and my differential was covered in mud as far as i know. I've read that its really bad to drowned a dif because there are drainage holes that allow the mud or water to get in. i ended up getting out and driving around with no weird sounds or anything. but should i be more careful or does it not matter?

Odd Noise
2004 Ranger XLT v6 4L, On cold start-up sometimes there is a grating sound for a second or two, sounds like something is trying to open. Is somewhat loud & can slightly feel the vibrations of the sound. Feel as if it's some type of air valve / flapper having a hard time opening. ???

stalling at highway speed
My 2000 ranger with 3.0 automatic 4x4 has started to stall at highway speed.
If I shift to neutral and try to start it will not start.
If I turn the key off and re start it will start.
Any ideas?
