Hey guys I'm sure this has been asked many times, But.
I'm new to these 3.0 fords, I've built 130hp air cooled VWs, 400hp Chevys etc, but all are carbed engines. This electronic stuff is different.
I have a 2000 Ranger with the 3.0 engine. It Idles high, but eventually will drop to around 8-900rpm which is good. But when I drive it the rpms stay around 2500-3000 rpm while I shift then only drop to 1100 or so when I stop.
I've replaced the TPS, IAC, Cam synchronizer, and checked and cleaned the MAF. I'm not sure where to go next. 02 sensors? I've checked for air leaks but can't find any The Truck is drivable and runs good, but the mpg is down around 15-16. It has a small exhaust leak under load that I haven't been able to locate yet also. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jeff
