While removing the fuel tank of my 2005 2.3l, I broke the electrical connector that plugs into the fuel pump. So without paying a whole lot of attention I clipped off the 4 wires and took the plug to the dealer to buy a replacement. When I got the replacement I noticed that the new plug along with the original were built with all 4 pigtail wires being black.
Now the problem is when I look at the wire harness under the truck I see that the 4 wires are as follows, one black, one red with black stripe, one yellow with white stripe and one black with white stripe.
So now I need to solder the wiring harness to the new connector but I don't know the color pinout for the connector. Which color wire connects to each of the 4 pins of the connector?
